We are in the midst of a very large, very important project.  Local Country/Christian group
The Phill Botting Band has asked Poor Fishy to produce three videos for their upcoming
performance at Hamilton Place on February 2, 2010.  We already have one video in the can, a
train montage for their song Weekend Train.

Currently we are in the process of gathering footage for an interview/interaction with the
band during the rehearsal process at Grant Avenue Studios with Producer Bob Doidge and in and
about their home base of Caledonia.

After we finish the interview/interaction segment we will work on the third and final piece, a background video for the performance of their song Remember When.

Phill Botting was the 2008 winner of the CMT Karaoke Star contest last year
and The Phill Botting Band recently got radio play with their amazing
tribute to Canada's fallen soldiers, Our Soldier's Home.

Come see The Phill Botting Band live at Hamilton Place Theatre on Feb. 2,
2010 at 8 pm.

Tickets available at the Hamilton Place box office or through TicketMaster.

Happy New Year folks.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, The Phill Botting Band will be performing at Soup Fest in Hamilton,
Ontario.  Poor Fishy Films has been working hard on three short films to be presented as
part of their stage show.  Two videos, for the songs 'Remember When' and 'Weekend Train',
are in the can and the third video, a short comedy bit in the Red Green/Adventures with Bill style, is nearing completion.  Keep your eyes on The Films section over the next few days
and weeks for the three videos.

Or better yet, come down to Soup Fest and enjoy some soup, help the community, see some great musical acts and our three most recent creative efforts.

Hope to see you there.

Well, a lot has been happening lately here at Poor Fishy Films. Last year's HFF award-
winning short, The Yard Sale, has been submitted on our behalf (by Nathan Fleet) to the
AGH WORLD FILM FESTIVAL at the Art Gallery of Hamilton and we should hear from them in the next week or so.

We are also in the pre-production stages of our newest short, The Mickey Montgomery Show, which will prove to be something unique and exciting for us and the viewing audience.

Finally, we have been playing with a new editing program (Final Cut Express)and the results have been exciting.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Hamilton Film Festival.  We have two
films in this year's Comedy category - Circus Temps (see May 10 entry below) and a new short called The Mickey Montgomery Show starring the very talented actors
Lance Darren Cole and John Darling.  Mickey Montgomery promises to be something
unique and not to be missed.  We can't say any more than that, but come on down
to The Staircase Cafe Theatre on Wed. Nov. 3 to see for yourself.

Also, on Thursday, Nov. 4, the next installment of JUXT will make its debut.  We were thrilled to kick off this experimental project last year with our segment,
Splitsville.  We look forward to seeing where this year's filmmakers will take it.

The Hamilton Film Festival takes place Nov. 2-7 at The Staircase Cafe Theatre - 27 Dundurn St. N, Hamilton Ontario.  Check out www.hamiltonfilmfestival.com for full details.

Hope to see you there.
